Present: Fred Woodhouse, Diane Callahan, Gary Backstrom
Call to order by Fred Woodhouse at 5:00 pm.
Special meeting to vote on the hiring of a new Road Agent.
Ms. Callahan feels that Sandy Eneguess has more expertise, more professionalism, and will work better with the public. Mr. Backstrom thought that Mr. Eneguess is the more qualified of the candidates. Mr. Woodhouse agreed with these sentiments.
Motion to offer the Road Agent position to Sandy Eneguess (Woodhouse/Callahan). All in favor, motion carried. The Town Administrator will contact Carl Newton, current Road Agent, to let him know the vote. Mr. Newton will contact Mr. Eneguess. The Town Administrator will send a letter to Mr. Matson, the second candidate.
The Board discussed communication between the Board and questioned how to better communicate without violating RSA 91A, right-to-know requirements.
Discussion of linking items on the State of NH website to the Sharon website. Also discussion about the process of getting minutes up to the website. The Town Administrator will try to contact the two companies that build municipal websites to obtain quotes for the 2021 budget season.
John Pickering asked about the roadside cutting that had occurred. Mr. Woodhouse has spoken to Carl Newton, who had explained that the manner of roadside cutting is done for efficiency. This area had not been cut in at least 10 years. Mr. Pickering said he is less worried about the visual impact and more concerned about the life of the trees.
